Friendly Star
1998 Dark Bay Thoroughbred gelding by STAR DE NASKRA out of SECRET AMIE BY CARO (IRE), bred by Mereworth Farm. After Friendly Star’s racing career ended in 2001, Susan Donaldson gave the horse to her friend, Stacey Kovach, upon the promise that Friendly Star would be returned to Mereworth Farm. Ms. Kovach honored that promise and Friendly Star arrived home on July 18, 2022, along with his best buddy, Beppe, a miniature donkey. Friendly Star and Beppe have been a pair since 2004.
